What is "The Waiver?"
"The Waiver" is a program in Wisconsin that pays for family planning and
reproductive health care for those who qualify.
What does someone get if they qualify?
People who qualify can get free reproductive health care, including:
- Annual exams
- Some cancer screenings
- STD testing and treatment
- HIV tests
- Pregnancy tests
- Birth Control, including:
- Pills
- Patches
- Rings
- Emergency Contraception
- Condoms
- And more...
Who qualifies?
A woman who is:
- A Wisconsin resident
- A United States citizen
- 15-44 years of age
- Is within the income range (call 1-866-323-4778 to find out if your income is in the range)
How can I sign up?
Call 1-866-ECFIRST to receive an application in the mail.
Visit www.access.wi.gov to apply online.
Call 1-800-291-2002 to enroll by phone.
Where can I go for services?
People enrolled in Wisconsin's Family Planning Waiver can go to any health care provider that accepts BadgerCare.
